Frayley’s “B” Litter
The unplanned breeding of Dakotadawn de Lamaitre and Pride of Aslan Grand Amara has produced 4 beautiful puppies, 2 males and 2 females. Although this breeding was not intentional, we are delighted to welcome these new Leo pups to our world. Amara is our sweet, yet energetic girl. She is a fabulous mom, with incredible patience. Amara is 27 inches and weighs 110 pounds. Dakota is our gentle giant, he follows us about to make sure all is well, while nuzzling our hands to make sure he gets his loves. Dakota is 29 inches and weighs 135 pounds.
Amara and Dakota are true sole mates. They were born 3 weeks apart in different countries, but when we brought them both home as puppies they instantly bonded.

Our puppies are our top priority. We raise our puppies in a family environment. We cleared out our dining room and made it into the nursery, so Amara and her puppies would be in the center of our home. Our puppies are socialized from the moment they are born. Our children are very much a part of our puppy’s lives. All of our children hold, pet, and feed our puppies. Our puppies are exposed to a variety of sights, sounds, and smells. With the puppies growing up in our dining room they are exposed not only to all the noise that goes along with several children, but all the household sounds such as the vacuum, blender, dishwasher, phones ringing, etc. As the puppies grow older they are exposed to the great out doors. They have a variety of places to explore on our property including the lawn, fields, ditches, streams, ponds, and the other animals. We take our puppies to town as well to socialize them in public. We walk them down Main Street, in the local shops, to the schools, and down to the river to play in the sand and water.
Litter "A" Born May 1, 2007
We chose to breed Amara because she has such a fantastic temperament. She is sweet and loving, and has the patience of a saint. It is not uncommon to see our toddler crawling up on her or using her for a pillow. We wanted to breed her to bring these qualities into her puppies. Amara is a lighter coated Leo and on the smaller side of the standard, 27 inches tall at the withers and 100 pounds. We chose to breed her to Tonka (owned by Julie Shafertt) because he is a huge male, 32 inches tall at the withers and 140 pounds, with a very dark mask and chest. This was Amara's first litter and we were very surprised at the 13 puppies.
